What’s the purpose?

This website sets out in clear and simple terms the arguments for Scotland remaining in the UK. We’ve listed the reasons why a second independence referendum (so called IndyRef2) is a frivolous waste of time and money.

This website is not a place for engaging in debates, arguments or keyboard warfare – there are plenty of other places on the internet you can go for that! That’s why we’ve not included an option to leave comments or feedback.

Instead we hope this information and resources can be used by anyone who wishes to share it.

We hope this site appeals all open-minded people looking for objective information about the Scottish independence debate.

How can it be used?

If you agree with us that the best future for Scotland lies within the UK and you share the British.Scot aims and objectives then please share any of the blog posts, memes and other resources, or freely copy the analysis on the home page as you wish.

What standards have we set?

The Scottish independence debate has been tainted by material ranging from slightly misleading to outright lies. By contrast, we’re striving to provide information based on verifiable facts. To this end we will provide the sources of figures, quotations etc.

Many social media platforms and forums challenged individuals on a very personal level, but wherever possible we will focus on the issues and try to avoid personal attacks.
